The Dursee family, in 1999, began the Walk/5K for Mom in Honor of Charlotte Dursee. She lost her battle to breast cancer at age 53. Since then, this event has raised more than $100,000 for various local charities.
Charlotte Dursee was a woman with a strong sense of her Catholic faith. Her commitment to her family and faith led her to Holy Trinity School in Westfield, NJ. She sent her six children here and went on to serve as the Home & School Association president. The school’s sense of community, faith and excellence in education was something that Mrs. Dursee held dear to her heart. As the sole beneficiary of this year’s Walk/5K for Mom in Memory of Charlotte Dursee, Holy Trinity School’s “Bridge the Gap” fund can continue to help families with financial need make a Catholic education possible for their children.
